RV Still Leaking

Well the wife and I stopped by the RV on the way home today and checked out the rig after the rain we had. The passenger side carpet in front of the seat is frozen solid.

So….. the leak continues and only God knows where the hell it’s coming in from. I’m going back up there tomorrow to drive the rig and warm it up since it went from 50 to near 0 so fast. I’m at a loss at what to do from here, does anybody know of a good repair shop that deals with leaks??  Annoyed

I emailed the body shop asking what else we can do but at this point I want to find a shop that knows about this stuff and can fix it for once.

I'm so sick of guessing, there are only so many places water can get in.

These things can be maddening. After a very heavy rain yesterday, we developed a leak that pooled water on the dash. I am assuming it is a windshield leak, but not positive.

So tomorrow, we join the search in the dark for an honest/ competent RV repair place.

I hope your leak is easy to find, pooling up on the dash can be dangerous. For ours I suspect it's the drain system for the driver and passenger windows but need to find a way to figure it out.

Two shops now have not figured it out. Ugh.

Have you taken it to a shop that has a "Seal Tech" machine? It's basically a big remotely controlled air pump that is set up inside the rv and pulls air in through a roof vent and adds positive air pressure to the RV. The technicians then walk around the outside and spray everything with soapy water and watch for bubbles to find your leaks.

Yeah, I've asked every shop I can find if they can do that but there doesn't seem to be any in the state of Illinois. :(

I found their website though so I'm going to contact them and see if they know of anybody in this state that does this, or how much a machine costs.

Matt thanks, I called those places and more yesterday. I also found a few other places that use other methods so I'm starting with the place that closest to me and working my way out from there.

I received a response from Holiday Rambler, they are telling me to check the firewall seal, seems a bit off base to me but they built it so I'll mention that to the shop as well.

Thanks Matt and have a good one!
