It's been a tad over 1 years since we bought Odysseus. It's been a great RV so far, we have had a few issues but nothing that prevented us from using it except for when it was in service getting things cared for. Considering our track record we were hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.
We had no issues from July 12th last year when we pickup up the rig all the way until the end of the season in October except for some strange battery charging issues.
We were able to get indoor storage which is incredible! While in storage it was plugged in so batteries stayed fully charged. In the Spring we picked up the rig and got ready for our first trip and we noticed some strange issues with how the rig charged the house batteries while driving, very randomly it just wouldn't.
We dropped it off for service so all oil's, fluids and filters could be changed and also did chassis lube and 6 brand new tires and then we found out the previous owner or a shop broke the genny drain plug and then poorly drilled a new one that was crooked and leaky. So they ordered a new oil pan which out of pocket to replace was about $2,400.00 which definitely hurt since this was missed by both inspections we had performed. 😶
It took 3 times in service for them to find out what was causing the charging issues but they at least found it! A charger solenoid was defective and likely the reason why the previous owner had similar random issues during his ownership. Wholesale Warranties only covered 60% of this repair which I'm going to send back as we have full coverage and they denied the proper amount of time to troubleshoot to be covered, frigging insane.
Anyway, all issues we had have been resolved and we are using the rig as often as possible. 😊
