Happy Birthday Mom!
Pearl Harbor Day
The birth of my Mom happened on December 7th, 1940. 1941 my Mom was a one year old baby hiding with my Grandparents from the Nazi’s in Norway. Everybody was scared and an ocean away the USA was being attacked by the Japanese. For me this day is a sad one on two levels, my Mom died very close to her birthday on November 29th and it’s also a sad day that thousands of men and women died. It brought the USA into WWII on December 8th with a declaration of war and the rest is history.
How many today are remembering this day and saying thanks to all those that protect us everyday. Our country has changed a lot since then, lets pray should another attack like this occur who ever is in charge does the right thing.

Your mom must have lived a tough life back then. Glad they made it through those times.
Look at the positives, it was the birth of the Arsenal of the world, The worlds greatest Manufacturer, and the worlds greatest Generation which your parents and mine were a part of.American might not be what it is if it weren't for this period of time and the resolve we had in winning it. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna...
It's a treasure that you still treasure your mother. Not everyone gets that. Fortunately, I treasure my Mom too.
Isn't it amazing what our world is today due to those before us? I hope you had many smiles on your face.
JoJo - My Grandmother told me some stories of how they made life rough for the Nazis to pay them back. It was tough for them but they made the best of it.
Sam and Donna - Yeah, the greatest generation and sadly what they tried to teach us has been lost on so many. I also fear that the current administration only cares about how they appear to others.
TexCyn - My mother was something else, she beat up a mugger, worked hard and died too young. The good ones always seem to die too young...
