How cool is that? As some of you may know, I sold my Icom 746Pro to pay some bills. Here is an article from the AARL about how the show is going to integrate Amateur Radio into the TV show. He is using the radio I hope to get some day, the ICOM IC-9100 all mode transceiver. A bit, no, way out of my reach for quite a few years I’m sure, but it’s fun to see others enjoying the hobby.

The only HAM I know about is the one I'll be fixing for Christmas dinner. :)
My Dad used to be a big HAM & CB person. His handle was Junkie because he also had a junkyard ;-)
He had one of those HUGE tower antenna's as well & fixed CB's as he had a shop at the time too. I remember those days of the squak box! I carry a CB in the RV.
No ham here, but I did get my "new" Cobra 29 LTD WX CB mounted on the cab ceiling in the pickup. Now, I just need to get a new CB antenna cable (The old one has gone bad somewhere) and retune the firestik and I'll be back on the air :).
