History Of Rap…

My brother showed me this on Christmas Eve. Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake break out into these skits and it’s hilarious and very entertaining. I don’t like rap but these guys make this so good you won’t care if you like rap or not.

Check it out, all 4 skits in one video.

Coursework Completed!

I completely forgot to post this, thoughts of my Mom at the time and on the day after the anniversary of her passing I completed my studies at KnowledgeNet exactly a year after I started.

I’d post the coursework completed but it would take a lot of space (in Word it takes up 5 pages, doh!) and I think they would get mad at me as it would also show details that that could help others cheat. All told there were 39 pre-tests and 39 post tests plus supplemental extra credit for 3 sections, I completed one of the extra credit sections, I ran out of time to do more but at least I completed the class!

I passed with an average score of 91.48%, my counselor wanted an average of 95% but to pass you have to average better than 80% so I’m happy with the results.
I received three certificates, I ran this one through an eraser so that people who will do such things can’t make a copy for themselves and then use it so it’s kind of ugly… but it will be very pretty in the frame!

RV Update

We stopped by Collier RV yesterday to see how the warranty work is progressing. Sadly, in a good way, they have completed them, which means we will have to start paying for storage beginning Jan 1st, 2014… I think, there are two recalls they have to verify have been performed or aren’t needed which they will be doing tomorrow.

When we stepped into the rig that new smell was still there, I love that. Unfortunately because we knew the rig was going to be moved we closed the refrigerator so mold has started in some places so we have some cleaning to do, otherwise it was so nice to step inside our still new rig.

They forgot one item on our list but the service guy had an extra in stock so installed it while we were there. This was the AC vent in the bathroom, repair time, about 20 seconds, awesome. I find out tomorrow how much we owe for winterization and storage.

The 2014’s were there, our model is on sale right now for $20,000 more than we paid for ours! The major differences, the power center now has a door and the stereo now has Blu-Ray… I think we made out very very well considering.

3.5 months until we can bring the rig back to the campground. The campground should have a new entrance road and I’ll be having them lay down a lot more gravel so I can even the lot out and cover the area to the right of the rig that grass can’t grow on.

We can’t wait!! Here she is staring out with those alien eyes! Smile

Marantz 60th Anniversary

In the 1970’s I worked for a stereo shop selling and installing Marantz home/car audio equipment. Quick side story, at 15 years old I had to replace a full stereo system in a Rolls Royce AND drill a hole in the fender for his antenna, it turned out fantastic but I was scared sh*tless!

Anyway I have been a fan except during the time when they were bought out and put out junk but in the 90’s when they got back to where they should be they started putting out some awesome gear again. Most of it unattainable to me.

Some of my favorites are but so not limited to:

Model 8B amplifier, Model 10B FM Tuner,  Model 6300 turntable, Model 500 Amplifier, Model 120 Tuner, All 1977 model HD series speakers, 4270 Quad Receiver, SR-19EX and ok I’m running on but as you can tell I like Marantz, A LOT. My current receiver in our home theater is a SR5003 7.1 receiver going on 5 years old now pushing Klipsch RF-82’s.

Here is a 60th Anniversary video Marantz put together which is nice but skips so much of the good stuff they have put out. Still worth watching! I couldn’t embed the video because Live Writer is having a bad day I guess so I’m posting a link and hoping it embeds after it gets published.

Wonderful World Of Tech Support

If you have worked Tech Support before or now then you have heard these. Smile One of the most complaints I heard in the 90’s was “where is the any key”.. I kid you not.
