Wife Update

Ronda had to be taken to get a CT scan last night because of some issues that I won’t get into here but the results came back as close to normal as they could hope for. They took care of what needed to be taken care of so today she is finally able to eat some bland jello and broth. She had a migraine all day and night and that has finally subsided as well, which is great because that’s what was causing her the most grief, besides the lady who screamed all night. Disappointed smile

She is walking every few hours and back on track to hopefully be released tomorrow. We’ll see how it goes, I’ll be staying there until they kick me out tonight because I’m off tomorrow so I can help her walk and get ready to leave which she of course wants to do.

More tomorrow when I have more information.. thanks for the comments, she really liked hearing from people. Open-mouthed smile

Good to hear the wife is doing well :). I've spent enough nights in hospitals with friends (sadly everytime in the Oncology ward) to be intimately familiar with the night terror sounds and they never get to you less, no matter how many times you hear them.

Little things, like just rolling over can be painful at first. But all will get much better in time. Being basically healthy will make recovery go faster.

My thoughts are with her.

I think folks recover better at home. Hospitals are not restful places. I hope she can come home tomorrow!

Oh I'll bet she can't wait to get back home again. She'll need a nice long nap too. I know I would. Thanks for the update.

Hi Erik,
I had that surgery almost 10 years ago and could not even walk without throwing up...she is in better shape than I was. Also sent you an email. If she has any questions, please let me know. lots of hugs to both of you. Today is the first day of her new life.

Been swamped last two days with hubby's doctor appointments in prep for his double knee surgery but wanted to drop you a quick note, sending lots of hugs & healing vibes your way. Hang in there but remember to take care of YOU, being a caregiver can be very tough!

So lad to read that Ronda is doing so well after her surgery. Too bad about the cost of the RV tires - I think we paid around $2400 for ours. These darn motor homes are money pits.
