Scott’s RV Comes Through!

I just made an appointment with Scott’s RV, brand new RV tires from BF Goodrich $975.00 installed out the door. This includes using the best old tire to replace the current spare. Considering Champion quoted me $1,500 for Chinese tires last Fall this is great news!

The RV goes in this weekend for new shoes! Whoohoo! I’m not crazy about spending $1,000.00 but from the blogs I read we’re getting off lucky! I need to get the roof cleaned professionally, no way my back is going to handle that so that’s the next thing to save for. Thank God I filled the gas tank, we’re good for our first few trips until I have to worry about that again, and by then it will be much higher than the $3.89 I paid.

The wife is going in next week for her surgery so we’re not sure yet when our first trip is going to be. Typically we head out on my birthday for our first trip at the end of March but this year we aren’t sure. It depends on how well she recovers, I told her I’ll do everything, she can just rest in the rig, we’ll see how it goes.

Have a great day everybody!

If you can keep it easy and close to home you should be able to take a short trip in not to long. Just take good care of her and keep your promise to do all the physical work.

Good news on the tires! I replaced mine on 12/10 & got a deal like that too. I think I got the same tires too. Now I need shocks, always something! I just redid my roof, it's really not that hard. Have you done it before?

The RV is a great place to recover! Very short walks to the kitchen & bathroom. Made my recovery much easier. I hope it all goes well for ya'll.

I'd say you got a great deal on those tires Erik. I paid $400.00 for all four on my car.
I hope your wifes surgery goes well. She hasn't been blogging so I don't know whats going on but please tell her I wish her well.
Love Di ♥

Merikay - Agreed, she really wants to go to Geneseo which is 2.5 hours away which isn't a good idea and it's the only place open at the end of March. We're going to see how it goes and what her doctor says next week.

I always try to do all of the physical labor and on this trip she knows I'll take care of everything. I'll even cook which I think scares her more than the surgery! :)~

TexCyn - The Class A takes 19.5 inch tires, I think yours are 16? I was dissapointed when I saw ours didn't have 22.5's! Not right now though! $400.00 each for those monsters but the ground clearence you get is fantastic.

Sue and Doug - It's a fantastic deal! :)

Diana - I asked her to blog about it and she says she is going to. If she doesn't I'll post something with more detail this weekend.

Great deal. I know we paid in the low two's for 6 new 19.5 Goodyear tires. That's the same tires that were installed originally. The tires were the same but the new tires now had a higher tire pressure threshold. The Ford dealer told us not to go to maximum pressure because it exceeded what was allowed for the wheels. They told us this after we came in to pick up the rv. So it may be something to be aware of.

Sorry Erik, I meant the same brand, not the same size. But it read that way didn't it? ;-)
