Camera Update

I’ve been using the camera a bit since I got home. There are a lot of videos on YouTube of people taking Hi Definition video with this DSLR and they are very impressive. One has to wonder how much post processing they do to make them look so good. I keep getting a fair amount of noise in the video, the blacks are blotchy and well, noisy. I tried an ISO of 1600 and it reduces the noise but it also requires more light to see what’s going on. I have a lot of experimenting to do to get this right. If you watch the video change it to the highest resolution your computer will allow, it’s amazing and mine aren’t anything like it.

These guys are pros but they took this video with a T3i!

I have figured out how to take some pretty good pictures without the flash so now my eBay stuff will look better when I post them. For a camera with no macro lens the camera takes close ups remarkably well. This is the first close up shot without the flash I took.

The pictures are of my Icom 746Pro and Palstar PM2000A watt meter which are going up on eBay very soon.

I hope to be going camping this weekend so we can take some practice HD video of our campfire (how exciting right?) and I’ll be going for some nature shots as well.

The camera is without a doubt better than anything I have used before, but then this is the most expensive camera I have ever used so it better kick butt right? More later, I’m like a kid in a candy store right now, need to put the new toy away and hit the sack! Smile with tongue out

Your making me want to run and buy that camera. I have the Canon Power ShotSX110is 10x Optical Zoom It takes great pictures and also does videos quite well. But when I see that next step up I sure get itchy for that camera. Good luck will look for your, new videos, enjoy it.

Sue and Doug - Agreed! But the size of the files are HUGE!!!

JoJo - The main area where I'm going to see a huge difference is in low light pictures and in rooms using no flash. I have never gotten decent pictures from my point and shoot in these situations.

This weekend will be a good test.
