We are on a nice holiday trip this weekend and so far everything has gone great. That is until the TV signal stopped working, I open the cabinet where the digital converter box is at and stick my hand behind it to insure it’s plugged in and what happens? I end up on my ass wondering what the hell just happened!!!! 
This is the AC cord coming from the Motorola converter box the dealer installed. How do I know the dealer installed it? Because it wasn’t there when we inspected it prior to purchasing the rig and the dealer said they would install it!! Now I ask you, who in the hell installs a device with bare AC wires?!?!?!?!? I mean, I am literally on the floor on this one!!!!
It’s no big deal we have no TV for this weekend, what frosts me is somebody installed a fire hazard into our RV. Bare AC wire in a cabinet with carpet and wood and clearly they had to have seen it. I wrote the owner who I know will not apologize but likely will write how proud he is of his whole team for the work they did on our RV, he has never once apologized for breaking something, for the guy who urinated all over the bathroom, for the guy who lost a lug nut or forgot to install something or fix something. The screw up list is long indeed and all I got in response was how proud he was of his team. Just, unreal.

CRAZY! I'd speak to the dealer -- personally...then I'd notify the BBB and anybody else who will listen -- these guys don't know what they're doing! Thankfully you weren't seriously hurt -- this time!

It looks like the insulation was sliced, and chunk disappeared. Does this wire got thru anything? It missing chunk on the otherside of the wall? I assume there were no chunks of insulation inside the cabinet with the cable...I would suspect a varmit at that point...
If they pulled the wire thru something this could happen. I usually check the insulation very carefully when i pull wires anyhwere.
I wrote the dealer, he says in 22 years he has never seen this before and we must have had a mice problem in that cabinet. I wrote him back that the top cabinets were sealed by me last Fall so there is no way it could get into that cabinet plus there was no signs of mouse poop or chunks of rubber as it chewed.
I'm not trying to blame the dealer but they installed it after all. I have seen what mice can do and this does look like it was chewed, but I believe it was installed in a different rig, probably removed because it was chewed and some installer wasn't paying attention when he grabbed one to install in my rig.
Accidents happen but this one could have burned the rig to the ground.
With you asleep in it! Have you posted in extra large print the name and location of this dealer?
I'm not sure if we will ever buy an RV, but if we do I'm not sure what state it will come from and I really want to put him on my must not deal with list!

Nope, that's scrape damage. One of the techs was likely trying to pull the cord through a hole and it got stuck, so he pulled harder and ended up tearing part of the insulation off.
Erik...your tales demonstrate why the choice of the dealer is as if not more important than the rig you buy. Egad....this dealer is unbelievable!!!
Glad you are okay but this dealer is NOT okay. This could have ended very differently.
Google review the bejeesus outta that dealership. File a complaint with BBB. Seriously. It's not hard, and it can be very useful (and satisfying).
