RV Leak Update

We dropped off the RV at Collier RV Super Center this morning so hopefully they are able to figure out where the water is coming in from. While we were there we looked at several Class A Diesel rigs and really liked this 2005 Encore except for one thing, the toilet room was so tiny no normal sized man could use it! Everything else was awesome! They had it priced at $79,999 with 47,650 miles it looks like a good deal, but if you’re 6’ tall, the toilet room is useless. Too bad… There is a big RV show in Chicago next weekend so we’re going to check it out and who knows, maybe we’ll find a DP and trade up!

Hope they are successful at finding and fixing the leak problem. Don't forget, those big ol' diesels cost big $$$ to buy and repair.

Sue,

I should have taken a picture of that toilet room. It was laughable to say the least, my wife is 5'4 and her knees almost hit the wall!

The rest of the rig was exactly what we were looking for, the dash is incredible and the price was right. It gave us food for thought going forward but I think we'll end up keeping our current rig for a few years yet.

Margie,

Agreed, the cost of a DP is significantly more than a gasser before and after purchase.

We received a bumper to bumper warranty with our current rig and which ever one we buy in the future we'll insure it has a great bumper to bumper warranty as well.

Your own blog reminds me constantly of how much it takes to keep a DP up.

This post reminded me of the movie "The Long, Long Trailer" starring Lucille Ball and Dezi Arnez. If you haven't seen it Erik, you should, before you go to the R.V. Show! It's hysterical! Love Di ♥

I ordered it from Amazon about a month ago and the wife and I laughed our butts off 2 weekends ago watching it.

Watching her get bounced around while he was towing the trailer was just too funny! It was a very good movie and the trailer was real nice!

:)
