Not A Done Deal…. Pictures Of 2004 Santara

We decided if there was a good deal out there we would go for it, even though we have dumped more than a few bucks on our current rig. This Santara is 20k below NADA during a RV Show sale going on at Collier RV in Rockford so we decided to see what our options are. We’ll know more on Monday. It has 22.5 inch wheels, Chevy big block, Allison 6spd transmission, double wide refridgerator, 10 gallon LP/Electric water heater, 7.7k gennny, 50amp service so both AC Units can be used while plugged in, full body paint and only 14k miles. It’s 36ft like the one we have now, dual slides for the main living area plus bedroom with a small desk. The floor plan is more open than our current rig AND the couch is deep and VERY comfortable compared to the rock of a couch in ours. The drivers and passenger seats are insanely comfortable and the dash is set so you can see better and last it has a 5,000lb hitch vs the 3,000lb hitch we currently have and it will come with a real warranty.

We decided if we found a good deal we would go for it. I don't mind that we fixed our rig because we couldn't trade it in knowing it leaked and somebody else would get stuck with the problem. So, $1,600.00 spent... ouch.

I'll post more pictures in a few minutes. There is of course a chance this might not go through because we have a payment we want to keep it under and this is right on the border.

So we'll see on Monday.

If it's meant to be - it's meant to be! Best of luck, whatever way it falls.

Nice rig!

That is enormous! It's like a small house. Good luck - I hope it all goes to plan. Can't wait to hear.

I'm trying to pretend it's no biggy, almost have myself convinced that if this doesn't go through I'm ok with it.

It's not like we have an ugly pile of junk right now since it's all fixed up but that Santara is sweet and with the desk in the bedroom and the little computer table in the main living area I can work more easily from this coach.

The benefits of the wheel size and suspension are pretty big too.

So, crossing fingers and trying not to get too excited. :)

Today is likely out, I have to go to the doctor this afternoon so no matter what happens at Collier the deal won't happen today which is fine. We prefer to wait until this weekend, there is supposed to be 20+ inches of snow coming so no rush!
